WIDE RECEIVERS

Peter Warrick

Florida State 5'11" 195 Sr.
Big-play receiver with athleticism, can catch anything when concentrating. Moves well to the ball. Excellent 4.4  speed. Hurt himself with off-field nonsense or could have won Heisman. 1999 STATS: 13.2 yds/rec. for 934 yds and 8 TD  1999 STATS: 13.2 avg, 934 ydss and 8 TDs.

R. Jay Soward

USC 5'10" 170 Sr.
Going into '99, has scored a touchdown every 6.9 times he has touched the ball. Energetic and explosive (4.4 speed), though mouth can get him into trouble, but backs up trash talk with results.  1999 STATS: 12.8 yds/rec. for 655 yds and 4 TD

JaJuan Dawson

Tulane 6'1" 200 Sr.
Good receiver who will shake himself loose for the deep one. Runs good routes, makes acrobatic catch on occasion. 1999 STATS: 10.7 yds/rec., 924 yds, 6 TDs.

Danny Farmer

UCLA 6'4" 210  Sr.
No blazing speed, but he fights for every reception he makes. Runs great routes, makes himself free. 1999 STATS: 19.8 avg, 573 yds and 3 TDs, runs at about 4.6 - 4.7.

Trevor Gaylor

Miami (Ohio) 6'3" 185 Sr.
Lacks blazing speed, but somehow gets free, makes catches that need to be made. Solid, dependable. 1999 STATS: Averaged 19.4 yds/rec., 1028 yds, 11 TDs, runs 4.5-4.6.
Khory Ivy

West Virginia

6'2" 190 Sr.
Pre-Season All American.  Had some big shoes to fill this season.  Played really well, has good hands and an agile reciever.  1999 Stats: 53 rcpt for 666 yds and 5TDs, 12.6yds/rcpt

Dennis Northcutt

Arizona 5'10" 170 Sr.
Fast, good hands. Will catch as many as you throw him. Ok after the catch but can make the circus catch. 1999 STATS: Avg 16.2 yds/rec., 1422 yds, 8 TDs Has run a 4.4 /40.

Plaxico Burress

Michigan State 6'6" 229 Sr.

I admit it, I'm a huge Patriots fan and whould do anything to see this guy on the other end of a Bledsoe pass. Exceptional size, very good speed, awesome hands, great after the catch. 1999 Stats: 66 rec., 1142 yds, 17.3 avg, 12 TDS.

James Williams

 Marshall 5'11" 180 Sr.
Speedy consistent deep threat, will move on defenders and break deep. No clue as to the productiveness of his short-medium game. 1999 STATS: Averaged 19.7 yds/rec., 786 yds, 12 TDs. Runs at  4.4/40.
